One of the first things I also noticed were some Alice In Chains comparisons as far as the vocals. And as far as Alice In Chains, I also like them :D The first two albums were excellent. Jerry Cantrall had a pretty unique guitar signature for something that was considered grunge. As far as Wet Animal, there was no telling what kind of music they were when you look at the album cover or the song titles. Even the musicians look, one guy looks like Andre Agassi meets Colin Farrel! Overall the stuff is not bad. I'd give it high 60's to low 70's based on the one listen so far.

My first instinct was mid to low 70s but after 5 or 6 listens it grew on me quite a bit. Loved Alice in Chains back in the day but they lost their way a bit after Dirt.

Yeah, the self-titled album is a definite snoozefest.

By the way, "Relentless" is actually a Pentagram cover, and a good one at that! 8)

Oy, that's the typical reaction to a band attempting to take their sound to the next level.

The s/t was great. It had some lame songs (God Am, Shame In You, Frogs), but it was an excellent progression from Dirt, adding industrial touches and strange compositional techniques that had been explored on Jar of Flies.

I liked that record a lot.

I'll try this one out if I find it somewhere, Al.
