Eh?

This is nice. Have you checked Colt out, Misha? I made a thread about them in the Avant-Grade forum, here.

That's anti war, anti animal torture, that kinda stuff. Anti Bush too of course...

I did check Colt a while ago, it was fair but not that special, this sounds nothing like it btw.

I know they're diffferent, just thought I'd bring 'em up whilst I had your attention. I'm enjoying these "sellout" reviews, keep it up!

gave this album 87, since the previous full-length album is slighty better imo, which i would rate 90 (my highest score)

In the abscence of anything but true metal seeming to get reviewed today, mishas reviews have become by far the most interesting!

And why no score?

I like the sample, reminds me of Pelican, which is a band I love.

Woot, thanks! I don't like scores, the review should give an adequate idea of the album, the score is always personal and distracts from the review. If the staff wants me to add one, I'll do that, but as long as they don't make me do it, I won't add one...

I love these guys, they're like post-rock, but without the sampling sections, and with songs trimmed down to 5 minutes so that my short attention span can cope with them.

Although as far as post-music goes, I've basically been listening to Minsk non-stop for three days - they're like the soundtrack to the mythical battles where mountains are used as ballistic weaponry and shit

Dude this is freaking cool, I like it even better than Days of Static. Is the whole album like this? (I'm thinking this would be perfect driving music, when I'm out around Denver depressed out of my mind running over small children.)

@ Noodles,
It's indeed sample-less, as they use images during live shows there seems no need of samples. Samples are not really typically post-rock though, it's just that GY!BE and related bands tent to use them a lot.

@ Arthur,
Like the review said, the album is very consistent, meaning that all tracks are like this, and of comparable quality. I personally think that it's not the best track though, quite a few are better.
