Put in with the some that say "Your crazy!"

Having never seen any of the headliners of this day live - there is no way I would have skipped it.

Still - I can understand the promise of something fantastic pulling you away from something you have heard before.

Yeah I know what you mean. I'll be honest, I do miss the fact I didnt see Mercenary and Evergrey but man, and this isnt blowing smoke up your ass, the new Blood Promise songs I heard can best be summed up like this: If they had recorded the nine songs in rehearsal plus Another Session and released them on a cd that day it would be something I'd probably play for a month straight. Each song was unique, had great melodies, classic sounding solos, bad ass vocals, and the keyboards had an old Nocturnus vibe running through them. Kind of like a sci fi aspect of sorts. The way I saw it is I have seen Mercenary and Evergrey before (although not with the extended sets and specialties that night) but the fire, the passion that burns with those that are down and out and hungry for their art was happening at that podunk little club Friday night.

I hadnt heard of Blood Promise before.. just jumped on their myspace page.

Wow - If they just managed to get a deal for the 4 songs off of that page there'd be an EP I'd pay for :dio:

i'm listening to "bleeding for the ne..." (goddamn myspace won't show song titles) and it's pretty nice. the keyboards are especially excellent, but they should do something about the clean emo-ish vocals.
