Not really, but I do like this bad boy. However I hope the next full-length jacks the intensity back up a notch. Isn't one of the tracks a song from their demo period reworked?

Actually I feel a bit disappointed after hearing "Warrior's Quest" and the title track (in mp3), is not just the problem of the vocals, I mean of course Jari's voice was perfect for the band, and Petri is actually good although Markus clean vocals are not great at all. It's also the fact that the music lacks intensity, energy and speed when comparing with the last albums... but it's just an EP and I'm going to have to wait for the next full album to make a fair judgement....

I listened and I'm dissapointed. The self titled album was best imo, this just doesnt have the uplifting feel of that album. Something is missing and Kayla explained what it is very well.

Its not like its shockingly bad or anything. In fact, I'd say its good. My only problem is, as I said, the drop of pace and intensisty. If the next album goes completely along these lines, then I'll be disappointed.

Good stuff but comparing to the previous things it's simply disappointing.

Did the reviewer miss the fact that "Into Hiding" is an Amorphis cover?

That's what I came to post about. Anyway, as far as the new EP goes, it's decent, but not really what I was expecting from Ensiferum in terms of style or quality.

I just came to say: what a fine written review :) ...I dunno yet how much I agree with it coz I haven't listened to the EP yet, but it's rare that I feel this way :)

Meh, boring, still very vikingish, but not what ensiferum used to be.

With Ensiferums stardards this isn't such a great release but it still has its' moments like many have propably already said.
