One of my friends have really complimented Behemoth lately, maybe this should be the reason to finally check them properly out.

For one who likes alittle melody in metal, which album should I go for?

"Grom", that album is melodic and raw black metal, and VERY good. buzzing guitars and flopping kickdrums, so be warned, for it's not like their later releases :P

Holy shit! I must have this fuckin CD... IT HAVE TO RULE!
And I heard that Karl Sanders (Nile) said that he simply loved every riff on this album. This is probably a 100/100 actually...

- I WILL DEFINITLY GO CHECK IT OUT EMEDIATLY! :!:

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!
This is impossible!!
I'd call the album in serenity their darkened litany :P
It has the speed of serenity in fire, the blasting bass production of Litany, and some light Egyptian hints of Nile's latest. It's still very Behemoth though, NEAT!!!

When I bought Enforsaken's "The Forever Endeavor" it came with a sample disk from Olympic records. I picked up Demi-God based on one sample from a different album, and I was not dissapointed. This record is relentless! The shop I got it from also had a remastered copy of their first album, it has some sort of cheesy looking devil man on the cover, does anyone know if it is worth picking up?

Anyone else look at the commentary in the booklet? Nergal or whoever sort of explains the meaning behind each song, and goes into his personal philosophy. I thought it was pretty interesting, even if it is just the same old Aliester Crowley worship. I wish the singer would do away with the electronic effects on his voice, then maybe I could pick out a few words, but a satisfying death album nonetheless.

85/100

Does anyone get like an epic, warlike feel from this album?

Not in a Turisas way, but I can see where you're coming from. I think you kind of have to picture war in your head when you listen to it though.

BTW, you guys who liked this should really check out Crionics. I think they are ten times better than Behemoth.

There are no bands ten times better than Behemoth!

Btw, did you guys listened to their recent Slaves Shall Serve EP? It kills, and I think their new album will do the same. Can't wait for that.

I've only downloaded one track so far (Limewires only turned up one result under 'Behemoth - Demi-God'), being Act of Rebellion which absoloutely kicks ass [I Love the guitar]. I've also got Moonspell Rites which is near-equally good, although a Shade away from Rebellion. I may get some slander for this one aswell, but in regards to MetalNESS's suggestion, I'd have to agree I far prefer Crionics by a long stretch.

Crionics is awesome, but the album I have isn't really overly Behemoth-y.

Good album, my second favorite from Behemoth next to Satanica. I never listened to Thelma though, I hear that one was real good...

Sventevith is my favorite Behemoth album... but that's understandable because I'm a big BM fan, a lot more than Death.
