I recently got a chance to listen to this and I really disagree regarding the female vocals, especially on the first track. I think they sound great. I'd probably rate this CD low to mid 90's. It's the best Death Metal release this year, in my opinion.

the more i listen to it the better it gets, but i still stand on what i said about the female vocals. it may be just personal preference but they just don't do it for me.

For sure, I can see a lot of Death Metal fans not liking them in fact.

I heard about these guys through a friend of mine, who knows the drummer. Friggin awesome stuff. I've only heard two songs, Beatus and something else... Don't remember what but it was heavy. I thought the female vocals were great, they're not a common thing in the heavier spectrum of death metal. I can't wait to hear the rest of it.

Wonderfull. Between all the bands that sound alike these days, Augury and Arsis has taken a new direction and evolved on the basic metal formula.
Looking forward to what both bands has to offer in the future.

^^^ Yup

especially since Augury ditched their female singer, who I don't think complemented their sound very well. And the new song they have on their myspace is joygasmic.

I actually like the female voice on the album a lot.
And from here on, whenever you use that word joygasmic I'll feel obligated to check it out since it was spot on considering A diamond for disease.

I can't give this band enough attention. After hearing their promo from this year I'm absolute certain that even better things will come. Too bad the drummer left, he's insane. Any news if they have gotten one yet?
