There are samples in their website as well. I checked them out and this didn't really fit my mood today, but they kind of sound like Tenhi to my ears, which is a band I love so I'll give this a shot another time.

I agree, but I don't care as it is the owners' choices to have this on the site or not, you know I'm not writing this for MR better than anyone here. If I had a metalsite, I wouldn't want this on. But if the staff wants it, then they can be my guest, and I am very happy to post these. It's the music I love, and the music I want to tell people about. It certainly doesn't fit with the rest of the reviews, but if there are people interested, I don't mind posting them.

And Kathy, IDM means intelligent dance music, now be turned off ;)

Yes, it's dance music and yes I did once dance like a monkey with brain seizure, chicks dig this shit so fuck you!

Hmm, I guess you haven't seen this comment, I admitted liking some dance music.

intelligent dance music sounds stupid though.

I was just teasing you ;) but you know that. IDM is a term like true black metal, there is always a discussion on what is intelligent/true and what is not, but from the little I heard, I draw a non final conclusion that IDM is usually better/more intelligent than what is not filed under it. I seem to like artists of the non-IDM genre as well though!

Ken, how the hell can you comment on my "post-rock with IDM elements" review if you have a "electronic alt-rock" review this very week? Something about a pot and a kettle.

Misha, why don't you review a metal album together with something not metal every week. At least you could satisfy these people :D

PS- Why not reviewing The Firstborns album to next week ;lol: ;)

I think there's enought metal on the site already, people can find metal themselves. On other music it's a little harder to know where to start.

And I don't give two shits about metal, wink

Well, I didn't post my comment to cause an argument, but Vokee are a rock band with electronic backdrops. This band is far removed from even Vokee. No big deal, though.

Ken, it's cool that you don't exclusively review metal, just don't go criticizing when other people do the same

No one got owned except you in the Helloween thread (which you conveniently ignored after).

As for this review, I'm not criticizing anyone here, nor am I criticizing this review. I simply stated that this review was pushing the limits, which Misha has adamantly admitted to. How is that a big deal? Maybe you should choose your battles more wisely since you've been one of the frontrunning critics of reviews you feel don't belong here, reviews that are miles closer to metal than Misha's reviews.

Playing favorites is never cool.

I still disagree on Helloween.. they don't praise god so much in their lyrics... ok, they're kind of on the bright side (positive) of things yet that doesn't make it a genuine x-tian band. and the reason why I didn't answer is because you'll never admit that you're wrong so why bothering ?

then, I'd like to say i'm not in any battle here... and, imo, the difference between your reviews and Misha's is that whaen Misha tries to open the minds, propose different musics, you just review the most mtv oriented crap there is nowadays in metal (aka nu metal)... but I'm glad somebody does it, and I'm actually glad it is you 'cause you really love this crap then feel no need to put it down like so many other reviewers would...

I gave far too many examples for you to say this, I could give many more, as well. I could also dig up interview after interview with the band stating such, I could also post Gamma Ray lyrics to show the themes carried over to them, too. I wasn't wrong in that thread, not even close.

Once again, I've reviewed two fucking nu-metal albums. And once again you prove your ignorance by saying I review the most MTV-oriented crap! Totally fucking ridiculous as I review some of the most obscure fucking bands on this site!
