I like it reminds me of Edguy's Vain Glory Opera/Theater Of Salvation days.

Thanks man....we really do have very similar tastes in metal. Metalcdratings rarely gives out 5/5, especially from you. It's really a great CD but not quite perfect. I just hope that they haven't put their entire life's work into this CD. With the original recording as well as the re-recording, they've likely invested 3 or 4 years of their time into this album. Have you heard anything about any new material?

Anything that reminds people of Theater Of Salvation(Edguy's best imo. and one of my favourite power metal releases) I've gotta hear.

Very good review! It's absolutely spot-on. Not sure if I will get this album as I think I'm pretty saturated at the moment with speed and power metal but it sounds like a really amazing debut work.

You're welcome. :)
As far as I know, they've already been working on new material, and if I was to guess, I would say they'll probably have a new CD in about a year.
We'll see...
:D

I've been meaning to check this out when Clint was ranting about it a few months back. Anyway, yeha this is amazing. Loving their myspace at the moment. :dio:

The style of this album definitely appeals to me. This absolutely is not an average band. My only problem is that when the singer goes for the high notes he sounds terrible. His falsetto is dreadful.

Wow, just for being this type of metal band (melodic/power) in my home state I applaud these guys . . . though I have to confess I had to lookup Townsend MA to find it . . . though I had a feeling it was somewhere out off Rte 2 way. The production and sound of this album for an independent release is phonemenal. And the playing is top-notch, guitars are a real highlight, but everything is excellent.

Others have mentioned this is material that has been around for a while, just finally presented in a way the band is happy with. And to that point it is still at a level that is heavily emulating their influences (like others I hear the very TOS Edguy similiarities loud and clear). Not a bad thing, but I am eager to hear if new material takes that great basis and starts to build on it toward something a little more uniquely their own. But, hey, that's no knock; this is extremely well done. And where I do hear originality and some of the band's own flavor is in some of the instrumental breaks. Great vocals . . . melodic, and I don't hear a lot of annoying piercing notes or struggling in uncomfortable registers. Really strong . . . harmonies too. In addition to comparisons others have made, I hear a little Kai Hansen in the vocals too.

Great stuff. I will pick this up at Newbury Comics (great CD store for metal---usually very good at stocking all the Euro bands). Would love to check these guys out live since they are in my (relative) backyard.

Pretty damn good album. A cross between Edguy (singer sounds ALOT like Tobias) and Maiden is an accurate description of what these guys sound like. However, if I were in the band I would resent the Droagonforce comparison because....well.... quite frankly Dragonforce sucks. :P

I like the album, espescially taking into account they are unsigned, but I expected more from all the hype.
