Possible album of the year.

I can't believe how good this is with the loss of Gus and Snowy. The reintroduction of faster songs and less lyrics about being Metal as fuck make me think the loss of Snowy's superb drumming is a fair trade for a greater sense of balance throughout.

This album surprised the crap out of me, I really didnt know what to expect. Luckily it was pointless to worry. Personally I dont like this album as much as all their others, but the others are among some of my favorite albums, so saying this isnt as good doesnt mean much as I think its still a really solid release.

United, Blind Evil, Kingdom At War, and Falling are the best songs IMO and the rest of the songs dont quite match up quality wise to these 4, so depending on my mood, some songs are skipped, which didnt happen much at all on their last 3.

This album is great, and a good follow up to the Book Of Heavy Metal, but i have to agree with you Mike on the ballad.

80/100

True the ballad is a bit on the crappy side. Snowy knew how to write 'em.

Very good album with some minor flaws in the song department. Like most said the ballad is quite crappy and some songs just fade in with the rest, aren't distinguishing enough i guess. Also the cover is excellently done imo. I've never heard the original and i don't really want to, but Dream Evil's metal version is great. I think that Snowy Shaw and Gus G are actually guesting on it. Funny thing tho i never even knew it was a cover when i first heard it.

Hmmm... I own "Evilized" and I thought that album was pretty bad. I should check this one out though. I forgot they have a new vocalist (that was my main set back).

Oh... Am I thinking of Firewind? One of Gus G's projects.

Anyway, I just started it. I've seen this video.

Isfeldt and Peter Stalfors, the bass player, both left for a few months but came back again very quickly. Then Snowy left.

Wait, NESS, you don't like Niklas' vocals? Damn bitch you crazy!

@ Der_Voice - The End might just be my favourite ballad, ever.

Is it because I'm Greek, I dunno, but the cover KICKS ASS !!! Its the way that song was suppose to sound in my opinion. My favorite track no questions asked, even though the entire album is very solid imho.

Funny, I'm greek too and I felt so embarassed by the cover that I never listen to it. I can't say that I like the original song, it's just another standard neo-greek pop song (didn't Xristos Dantis compose it?) but the cover just sounds awful to my ears. But well, I can't blame you for liking it  I know many other people who do!
