I thought this album was amazing, one of the years best for me. And definately the bands best album IMO, the new vocalist is definately one of the reasons to, much better than the last guy (not saying the last guy was bad though, he wasnt). And I thought The Final Goodbye was an awesome song, felt like a fitting end.

I wish they had put the bonus song Limbo on the album, its just a 2 minute instrumental and it fits so well right before The Final Goodbye, its how I always listen to the album with the MP3s.

Any comparisons to other bands?

Well, Theatrical Madness sounds like a cross between Wuthering Heights and Blind Guardian except take away the serious part of both bands. Listen to "Bozo the Clown" it’s a catchy fucking song. I actually really want to listen to them now.

I would lump Evil Masquerade with Opus Atlantica, Time Requiem, Iron Mask, Majestic, Book of Reflections and so on.

I think all the EM CDs are great, but none of them quite grabbed the "excellent" rating in my mind.
84/100 is dead-on IMO.

I prefer Theatrical Madness to this ones.
