Like the reviewer I love the old Queen stuff, in my case until Jazz and maybe even The Game.
I´ve got the "We will rock you" DVD for some years now, that is the DTS edition as there are at least three different editions.

Don´t know about this new edition but the old "We will rock you" DTS edition has already great sound and picture quality , this won´t be easy to top. I think the (three) concerts were filmed on 35mm (something like that) cinema material, therefore the great picture quality.

But one thing has to be acounted for: EVERY official Queen live release has been overdubbed, sometimes heavily so. You can hear this easily on their first video concert release "Live at the Rainbow" from 1974 (the choruses are way to good to be live), it is well known for "Live Killers" too, and for this (three) concerts in Montreal the director explicitly mentions this fact in his audio commentary.
Don´t get me wrong: I love the old Queen stuff and they were a great live band - but they did not always find the right notes, not even Freddie. It´s known too (and can easily be heared) that he did even lower the high pitched vocal parts in live concerts, that is mostly.

Great review Marty! My only complaint is : FreDDIE Mercury not FreDDY Mercury, for god's sake.
