Very good album. I had the pleasure of seeing these guys play live a few weeks ago, along with Decapitated. It was so good my mind was bleeding. :dio:

I liked this. Nothing original, but the variety in riff/vocal styles makes it more enjoyable than most death metal albums.

Sums up my review, doesn't it? I read somewhere an answer by Charles Elliott (vocalist/guitarist/lyricist for Abusmal Dawn) that "fucking was done before as well, but we still enjoy it whne it happens, and happens well".

Misanthrope - a French band which combined death, melodic death, some power, basically a mix of styles, right?
Einherjer - a Norwegian band which was very much Viking metal, sort of like Enslaved, but less black, more folk, and they are defunct now. From their ashes was born some thrash outfit (on Candlelight Records), but its name escapes me right now.
Why are you asking?

Yes, precisely. I think you're talking about Battered. MR lacks these two (Misanthrope & Einherjer) great bands and your the man to review them.

I shall. I highly doubt, though. The samples I heard were very pleasing. I actually got Necrophobic - Hrimthursum, a while ago and was very impressed with it.

This is solid death metal, and i love how it lasts only 31 minutes... I hate it when a death metal album is too long...
