I'll check this album out because I seem to be becoming a fan of the dark oppressive atmosphere style of black metal

Halfway through this album, this is really good stuff. I definitely see where the Deathspell Omega comparison comes from. I'm now at Severed from the Self and indeed this almost sounds like something out of SMR,C. They seem somewhat influenced by Blut Aus Nord too. Very solid stuff.
