From what I heard from their samples at myspace, they don't sound much like metal (or even progressive metal) but it's more like half-progressive half-alternative hard rock. And the "stonerish" elements are not really that strong in the music, well at least not more than other alternative hard rock bands of the late 90s and afterwards. The lyrics are entirely another matter though. The music reminded me a lot of bands like Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains and some Coheed & Cambria, but that's just from those few songs I heard. I'm sure this album is a "grower" as most progressive things are so I might check it out at some later point in the future.

Very good album, their slightly hard edged, prog-for-the-2000s reminds me a lot of Oceansize or Porcupine Tree. My only complaint is that I wish they'd be more experimental/abrasive, but thats more than amde up for by the non-cheesy vocals and lack of keyboards (i hates the keyboards)

a damn good album indeed ! I hear some Porcupine Tree in that one (the progressive element to it)... It's lighter on the stoner side imho... anyway, worth a try for any open-minded metalhead ! :dio:

I'll give it a 75/100
