Excellent album, although this kinda of Nevermore sound alike bands tend to have more to do with a thrash sub-genre then with the prog/power style. IMO

I bought this album because I thought the cover was really cool, I still need to listen to it more though

This is an amazing album. They definitely have a Nevermore similarity, but I tend to think if the singer didn't sound so much like Warrell Dane we wouldn't compare them to Nevermore so much.

Amazing album either way.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I guess thrash is such a distinctive sound for me that I can't give it any subgenres personally. It's either thrash, or it isn't. This album is a bit hard to classify, it shares qualities of thrash, prog, and power.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. There are similarities in song structure and sound, but they likely would go by unnoticed if not for Stensland and Dane having very similar vocals. Overall, though, a great album. ProgPower is going to kick ass! And yes, noodles, I love the cover art as well, one of the best of the year.

"Under A Luminous Sky" gives me chills every time I hear the chorus. It's so awesome!

This album is a killer! The more you hear it, the more you adore it. All those neverending comparisons to Nevermore should end IMO, cause this band has a sound of its own and the songwriting is simply amazing.

Don't miss this, put your prejudices aside and let the metal flow!!

I totally agree. This album is a must buy for metal fans. Communic have their own style and I think they excel at what they do. and "under a Luminous Sky" is straight up addicting. One of the best of 2006.
