Welcome back! Excellent review. This one has been getting some bad reviews out there, it's good to see a reviewer not go wanting something they were never going to get with this album.

This album isn't their best—Sword's Song is, I think—but it's definitely no slouch. A very solid album from a killer band.

It's nothing groundbreaking, and nothing that won't be done again, but I liked it.

Right. If you know Battlelore, you know what you're getting. They didn't break down any walls with this album, but do they really need to?

I think Sword's Song is their best album, the only that really threw something original and different, a kind of Tolkien meets Rammstein meets Sirenia with an awesome feeling.

The last two Battlelore albuns are good, but the feeling that Sword's song Carries is not really comparable...
