1.I highly doubt this album deserves a 5. By saying you never liked Goregrind you basicaly set yourself up for no one to take this review very seriously. Plus, you said you're very open to metal sub genres but the bands you chose to cite aren't hard to get into at all. Even though they're good bands, they're anything but challenging. granted, your review was well written but really biased. This site has somewhat of a history for disliking goregrind immensely. Maybe just don't review the stuff if you already made your mind up about it before you even popped the cd in. You even said most of the cd was sort of an undeciphrable blur, which would be the case for someone who doesnt have experience with the genre. I'm really not trying to be a dick here, it's not my job to critique you, but I know i'm not the only one who thinks you've wasted your time by writing this review.
2. Carnal Diafragma indeed rule. And so do alot of grind bands from that region.

1. No one on this site really likes goregrind. If the band plays extreme metal, chances are its gonna get reviewed by either Adam, Alex, Kayla, Crims, Aleksie, or myself. I will let them hear the album for as long as they want and have them get to back to me to see if I have made some horrible mistake. I don't think this site has a history of having a huge bias towards goregrind as much as the strict limitations of the sub-genre has caused itself to have a history of being poor music.
2. Those bands I cited may not be "challenging" but they are very recognizeable names in their respective genres. I thought it was a better choice to use
Behemoth as the representitive of death metal, than say....
Zyklon, so the reader can have an easier point of reference for the style. I also did that to show that I am open to pretty much anything done well. I just have had trouble finding something that goregrind has done well.
3. This CD is a blur. Not a deeply layered, well thought out blur that reveals something new with each listen, but a poorly recorded blur that sounds like it didn't take very long to put together. If you cut out all the sound bites, each song averages about a minute in length, with riffs that have the tone of a Nu Metal band (scooped mids and down-tuned to hell) playing a bit faster than they should. The vocals have no discernable lyrics from what I can tell, lacking any sort of rhythm/ sense of tension and release at all.
4. Even if I did indeed waste your time with this review, I hope I might have saved at least a few people from wasting their money.
