This album really stuck with me and I really hear the s/t in this. I’m not much for female vocals, but they are mixed very well with Romero’s voice. Definitely a step up from "Beyond the Sea."

Actually no. From The Gates of Oblivion to Between Light and Darkness to Dark Moor (S/T) to Beyond the Sea to this.

This album is actually better than two of those, but I agree that The Gates of Oblivion is the best they have to offer.

I knew someone would point that out. What I'm saying here is that I can't believe it's from the same band. Almost like going from Within Tempations Enter to the Silent Force. Have not heard their latest and don't want to either.

I knew what you were saying, I just felt like being a smart ass. And I agree, without Elisa Martin they are a completely different band.

This album is awesome, a huge step up from the last two indeed. I feel I've been growing out of the power metal genre quite a bit lately, but when an album kicks this much ass, I still end up digging it like hell. :dio: It's considerably more generic and typical than the Elisa stuff, and not quite as energetic either, but if you can look past that and appreciate it for what it is, it's a definite winner of an album. 80-85% circa at least for me.

Don't worry, we'll get you headed in the right direction one of these days.

.... as for the CD, I'm quite impressed. We'll have to get a full review for this on MCDR. :D

This can't be worse than Beyond the Sea. Except for The Silver Key that album was pretty much rock bottom for a band as talented as Dark Moor imo. I've heard the song The Chariot from this album and if every song on the album is that good I would probably give it 70+ which is very good for post-Elisa era Dark Moor.

IMO I think this album doesnt deserve this really high score. Ive listened to the album several times and I wouldnt give it more than 70. I dont see what the fuss is all about.
