Good review dude.Granted I love this album, but nicely done all the same. This cd is so intense and beautiful,I nearly always have it in my cd rotation. My fave song is easily Reborn-The Upheaval of Nihility with its awesome acoustic interludes and solos.VR really did a great job on this one.

Yeah, this album doesn't have a rival in death metal this year. I like it better then the new Behemoth (and Behemoth is my favourite dm band!) and I doubt I'll like the new Nile more. The new Immolation does come close though... but I still take VR over them. I'm just surprised people here didn't talk that much about this album so far.

Sweet album cover. Still don't get how Dimmu's is banned and this isn't, but whatever.

Do you see any tits on this? I don't see any tits on this. :P

The cover didn't neccessarily get banned, but I've only seen the censored version in stores and on itunes. It is really an awesome cover.

Awesome CD. I'm not entirely convinced it's better than Dechristianizer but it's certainly not any worse. Highly recommended.

Pretty good album but wayyy too long for a death metal album. They should have released 2 30 minute albums or something >.<

I haven't listened to this yet, but if it's anything like the previous album where every song is one 4 minute song played twice over (if you get what i mean) then I won't like it much. If it's better than the new Immolation album I'll eat my hat.

I just find Benton's vocals irritating, so while this album is probably decent nothing VR does will top Dawn of the Apocalypse for me.

I don't think Vital Remains is epic Metal, they are satanic death metal.

hails.

I try to stay away from tagging bands with a certain genre label based on lyrical themes. I know epic death metal isn't an established genre like doom or power is, but I wanted to make sure readers understand that this isn't your typical death metal song structure.

Thanks for the comments Dylan, sometimes when we think in epic death metal we think in bands like Nile... but yes you are right song structure its different in Vital Remains.

Is this totally Dechristianzie part 2?

Yup. That's why it rules.
