First one, no. Second one, arguably no, but you could make a case for it.

You guys have to review some classic Anthrax! It's a big hole in the site's "Classics" section that you have classic Metallica, classic Megadeth (sans Peace Sells...), classic Slayer, but no Anthrax before "We've Come For You All." Certainly, an album like Among The Living or Persistence of Time would be ideal. I actually have a review for Persistence of Time on Epinions that I can send if anybody wants to use it. http://www.epinions.com/content_209373007492

Yes, Among the Living should definately be here in the classics section.. are there no reviewers old enough to have had that one thrash it's way into your heart?

I'd say Persistence of Time over Among... Still, Among is a damn good album.

Persistence of Time (I think) is Anthrax's worst album with Belladonna.. and Among the Living the best !

NP
God Is An Astronaut "All Is Violent, All Is Bright" (easy post rock, thx Mishellito, not bad...)

You crazy? Persistence of Time is much better than Spreading the Disease and whatnot. I'd say it's up there or surpasses Among.

The riffs are to die for.

It's their most consistent album, there really isn't a weak number. Among the Living has two weak numbers, and is a bit repetitive.

I prefer Time, Blood, and Keep it in the Family to Got the Time.

There has been a discussion on this recently between reviewers. If I had to pick a classic amongst the Anthrax catalog I would definitely choose Persistence Of Time.

No on Anacrusis, but I could make a case for Forte? That's odd. I'm more in the boat of definitely on Anacrusis, not sure about Forte, mainly because I don't know how much of an impact they had. I'm actually surprised you know that album since a lot of people don't.

I'm aware of that.

Well, I really hate that Anacrusis album. I like the Forte one, but the lack of influence thing is why I said 'arguably no.'

Then again, how many people have heard of Anacrusis anyway?

True, but I do think Anacrusis had a fairly big impact. They're still considered to be very unique, and I'd agree.

DOWNLOAD THIS ALBUM NOW!

And while you're their, give everything else a listen. Kenn Nardi's vocals are a little different, to say the least...hehehe.

What's going on here? Persistence of Time THE classic Anthrax album? I think there's a reason they played just about the entire Among album on the reunion tour yet only 1 from Persistence of Time.

Consistent? I was never a big fan of H8 Red, Gridlock, One Man Stands, or Discharge. Completely forgettable.

Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power
Southern Hardcore

*stabs myself in the face*

30 / 100

killing songs: very possibly the one that caused me to stab myself in the face

Psst. What about Epicus? Still having trouble describing it's awesomeness in review form?

in response to the tiny question, it's kinda half written in my mind but there are plenty of classics in line anyway.. the one that's coming next should be a pretty good read!
