Manson isn't nu-metal.

yeah, he's just crap

I like him. His image is retarded, but I enjoy all the albums quite a bit.

Manson manages to push the boundaries of the homosexual image while creating the most bland, hokey and overall obnoxious Industrial Nu-Dance music I've ever heard.

Manson sucks.

But he's so evil! I love to play his albums just to shock my mother.

If metal was embraced like some other genres out there, Burn My Eyes would have been the metal equivalent to Nirvana's Nevermind. When Burn My Eyes came out the metal world went fucking nuts! If you were 3 years old then you wouldn't understand, if you weren't in tune with the happenings going on in the metal world, you wouldn't understand. That album simply blew everyone away!

Sure, some people didn't like it, but as a whole that album is definitely a classic.

I have never even heard this album and plan never too and I am part of the Metal world, but bands like Machine Head and Fear Factory will just never be my thing. I think I just missed that whole time period and skipped straight to Norway and the Goth Metal scene. I don't even like Pantera nor heard any of their albums but Cowboys from Hell.

So how can you hate a band without listening to them?

I can't stand that.

Scenario:
Somebody will ask me what I am doing for the night and I'll tell them, "I'm going out for Sushi." Then they respond with "Ewww! Sick uncooked fish?" Then I ask, "Have you tried it?" Then they say "No, but fish weren't meant to be eaten raw." What the hell? Uhh... obviously you aren't aware of Japanese culture. Don’t knock it till you try, that’s what I say.

Unagi is THE BEST! Cooked, but only available at Sushi restaurants. You had it? Fucking awesome!

fuck yeah. My brother and I always get unagi (eel). We usually get the Japanese and American version (yes there is two). Try the Japanese version (if you already haven't), I find it much better.

I too am a sushi lover and despise that. Got a fab sushi restaurant in the city I live in, but mention it to people and half the time they look it you like you're talking about eating babies. Gotta love unusual food.

As for leee, if you don't like Pantera you probably won't like this, I wouldn't compare them to Fear factory, very different imo.

What's the Japanese version? Basically what I get is a slab of eel on a bed of rice, wrapped with a ribbon seaweed, smothered in a teriyaki sauce (I think) with a light sprinkling of sesame seed. Haha. It's so good. Of course, $6 for two tiny pieces is shitty, but it's awesome.

This thread has taken an odd turn...

Actually, I think I'm thinking of unagi rolls. B/c that description fits the unagi I thought was Japanese. You probably get better sushi than me anyway, b/c of your location.

Honestly, I've had sushi twice in three years here. No one I know wants to ever go with me. I need to find some friends into theater and shit, like some art fags or something, then I can eat sushi more often. My friends are like, fuck you, I'm getting McDonald's! Pffft!

When I was stationed in Little Rock we would go all the time. Imagine finding more open-minded people in Arkansas! Weird.

God. Y'know, God the Heavenly Father, Alpha and Omega, "In excelsis Deo" kinda God.

Neptune is the Sea-God, though. Wouldn't Sushi be the food of the Sea-God? Or is Neptune anti-Sushimetic?

I didn't use the word "hate" but what passed for Metal in the US in the early 90 I have no interest for unless it is Iced Earth.

Some good early/mid nineties stuff I listened to that was metal or at least metal related.

Tool
Alice in Chains
Prong
Entombed
Corrosion of Confirmity
Ministry
Rage Against The Machine
Soundgarden
Sepultura

Although I agree Pantera sucked for the most part, I never felt inclined to outlay cash for them.

Not with the same degree of intensity, but yes.
