Ugh...Axxis....veeerrry overrated in my opinion. They just don't seem to produce memorable songs. All of them feel average and don't leave a lasting impression. It's good but not my favorite...

Why reviving for a two years old thread just to trash the band ?

What do you care?
His post wasn't anywhere near trashing the band
Or are you the only one allowed to state your opinion?

Because maybe I just got the album? :omfg:

I use this site to discover new bands, got this because they highly regarded Axxis so much. And disliked it. Seeing as this is theh ighest rated one I thought it best to share my opinion here.

Or are older threads off-limits?

Not at all... I though it was disagreeing just to disagree... All's cool then... Just to educate me on this band I've never heard, what would you say is their best album?

I don't think you'd dig them. They are supper melodic and supper catchy.

Supper? :P

I think Paradise In Flames is worth a shot. Some of those choruses are impossible to get out of your head, which can either be a good thing, or a major annoyance.

Yeah that one is pretty cool. Their older stuff is a lot more hard rockish.

My first and till now still favourite Axxis album was Back To The Kingdom.

Doom Of Destiny is a hell of album.
Paradise in flames too.

I'm not a big fan of their older stuff

I've tried Kingdom Of The Night and Paradise In Flames...
Paradise in Flames is much better.

Been listening to this album a lot lately. The opener Living in a World is an ok song, but goddamnit if the next two songs don't fuckin rip. The ballads I always skip as listening to them bores the hell out of me. BUt everything else on this album, apart from the mediocre opener and the ballads, is top notch hard rockin metal. It's a bummer about the less than stellar songs, but everything else is simply wonderful. Kings Made of Steel and Never Say Never are my two favorites. Great album, havent heard much else, heard some clips on Youtube from later albums, didnt like the newer stuff as much, though I have Back TO Kingdom and "Shadowman" is an excellent song, havent listened to the rest, but if they truly went back to Kingdom then I should love it.
