I like this album, but it's not something I get out frequently.

This is one of my favorite Maiden albums. Running Free and Charlotte the Harlot blow me away with every listen. I just can't help but sing along with this album.

It's special to me too... Transylvania was the first real song I learned to play on the guitar... I even learned to play the solo back in the day... Gotta go listen

I really like this album too. It has some great songs like "prowler", "Remember Tomorrow", "Running Free" and "Phantom Of The Opera".
I'm not fond of ever track here, though. Much prefer the albums later to come...

I find myself liking the first two, in particular this album, more than later maiden stuff :omfg:

Its got that little edge of rawness in the production, and the guitar playing is amazing

Yeah... T'was going to be my first one, and I actually did one for my "audition", however my Accept-fanboyism got in the way.

Classic album, but Killers totally outshines it.
I heard Killers first (summer of 82), so perhaps that has biased my opinion a bit.

Charlotte the Harlot is my favorite one from this album. Also the follow up to this song, 22 Acacia Avenue is amazing. One of the strongest songs from Maiden if you ask me.

What I really like about "22 Acacia Avenue" is the killer-guitar riff opening the song. It has so much energy and the lyrics seem a bit simpler and rawer than some of the complex concepts of later albums.

Great album. Has a different vibe and energy then Bruce-era IM. I prefer the s/t over Killers.

I agree with you. I heard this one before Killers and, for years, I thought Killers was kind of weak compared to the ST. With time, I realized Killers was just better produced, with stronger songs and... Well, just better in every possible way. That doesn't mean this one's not a classic, it obviously is, not just up to Killers.

I like this better, but this was the first album I ever bought and I played it to death. I fucking love this album, I can't even begin to explain.
