These guys are amazing.

I get the same feeling listening to them that I got when I first got into Sonata Arctica...

And christ, how ahead of your time can you be? They sound like they were produced in the last 2 years.

Hi, I live in Argentina, and this guys arr just...AWESOME!!!!
i have all of their albums and they are right there, heading my top 3 bands podium (followed by Edguy and Lost Horizon).
But this very album is quite strange, it has too many different styles in it: Speed metal, Industrial, 4 great ballades, hard rock....it´s a cool album, but i think itsn´t their best.
Blue Blood and Art of Life are my favourites, and they deserve to be reviewed.
I hope all the world gets to know this five guys and what thy´ve done, it isn´t fair that one of the finest metal bands ever ends lost in the memory of time.
See you!!!!

Am I the only one who completely detests this band? Their singer sounds like Celine Dion, the guitar riffs are inaudible, Art of Life has a fucking 9 minute long piano solo, and all together it sounds like the Dragonball Z sountrack or some shit.

This is one of the first metal bands I got into. They were so flamboyant and wierd. I love their speed and melodies and Yoshiki is a god. But I do know a lot of people who can't stand them. So you are not the only one.

I love X Japan, got all their albums here. Art Of Life rules, so as the 9 minute piano solo :). They are best at ballads anyway.

Blue Blood and Dahlia are their best albums. Tho i find a few filler songs in both.

I checked them out on the strength of the reviews here. They were way different than what I expected so it was a dissapointment at first but after giving it a few more chances, Dahlia has really grown on me. Technically accomplished all around, the band is excellent. The riffing and double bass work is great, the solos are awesome, and the vocals have some awesome melodies to offer up, although the ballads tend to go on too long and are largely uneventful. The few forays into more industrial-tinged metal are short but sweet, and give the album both more variety and some agression that works towards balancing out the extended balladry. A welcome addition to my listening selection.

I'm looking forward to getting more from them.

Yeah definitly one of my top ten. You will find them to be a very, umm whats the word, ...strange?

I don't care what anybody says though, they are still one of the best metal bands ever to walk this planet.

"Sadistic Desire" is a great song. My all time favorite is "The Art of Life." Blue Blood doesn't contain any of these songs, but it definitly has most of their best. ...if that makes sense. :?

Yeah it does make sence.Blue Blood is the most consistent as far as songwriting. Most of the songs there are good but not killers like the ones in Vanishing Vision.
Funny thing i could not endure through the entire Art Of Life song, it's just toooo long. The longest song i've heard is probably The Odyssey.

"Art of Life" is 28 min. I believe. "The Odyssey" is 24 min. ....I believe.

I like long suspenseful songs.

They're a good band, but none of their albums deserve 100/100, let alone 100+/100...

I think I have seen clips from that. Is that the one where Yoshiki has that KILLER drum solo?
