now i'm usually someone that wouldn't listen to power metal at all, but I've been absolutely hooked on this album since buying it off ebay, and I haven't been able to put it down! An outright classic, every element of the band's sound is perfect, and every single song is excellent. Finally, a power metal album that I've been able to truly enjoy. 100/100 from me!

Well in my book to consider an album a classic, it must have something special or unique to offer. Hammerfall while a decent band, have a very typical sound, and not so many inspired songs. I also enjoy this album very much, but I don't think it's that much of a classic.

Exactly, I dig HammerFall, and this album is one of their best. But an all-time classic? Methinks not.

yeah this is a good album, but its way to young to be considered a classic.....and I dont know how well it stands up to albums like Thundersteel, Digital Dictators, Deliver Us etc etc etc....still a good album though.

Glory to the Brave clearly is one, whether you'd give it to Legacy of Kings too depends on how generous you are about giving out the "classic"-label I guess, but I'd lean towards yes :)

I would call this a minor classic but it's an album every power metal fan should have in their library. Every track is uniformly excellent, the production muscular yet still clear as a bell and many of Oscar Dronjak's very best riffs can be heard here. Hammerfall would sadly never reach this level of quality again, but Legacy stands as a shining example of power metal done exceptionally well. 92/100

Still not a classic. A good album though, probably Hammerfall's finest.
