This is my favorite thrash metal album, and definitely one of my favorite albums of all time. Probably nobody else would agree, but I personally think that if I could choose one song to define thrash metal, it would be Elimination.

Also, the final 2 minutes or so of the title track blow me away every time. Just a flawless album and I am glad to see it as a classic :dio:

Now to those who say Horrorscope is their best, although i agree it is an amazing album, the band was lacking just a bit without Gustafson in the band.

it's tough to pick a best Overkill, but if I had too this one would be it. With Feel the Fire, Taking Over, Under the Influence, Horrorscope, and Ironbound all being closely behind. Awesome awesome band, and one of my favourites of all time.

welcome aboard too! nice to have more Overkill fans around. :dio:

And what about the ones who say Feel the fuckin Fire is their best?

To me Years of Decay and Horrorscope both sound too clean and cold.
I like thrash metal when it's dirty.

Stay old school! :dio:

Well, I must say that Taking Over is certainly number 2 on my list. I find Horrorscope to be a bit too clean while the Years of Decay is just clean enough for the perfect thrash album to me. Like another said earlier, sometimes your favorite Overkill is simply the last one you listened to though, because they are that good. To me, they were more consistant than any of the Big 4, Exodus, and Testament. :dio:

It's a classic, alright! Don't know if it's my favourite, Overkill produced so many great albums... And still does!
