It's about God-Damned time, Daniel! This's been claimed in the backstage by you since the dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Good review.

Beautiful way to end a review. Is that last sentence a quote? I really like the way it's worded. Btw, damn you, because now I got this urge to listen to Nemesis Divina and I only have Dark Medieval Times and Volcano at work

This review made me dig through the unstructured pile of different music medias I like to call my home and give this album a well deserved spin after many years. And a lovely album it is. A solid 80% from me.

Have to admit that i'm not that crazy about post-Dark-medieval-times material  First of all it's the vox that changed, still a bit left of the old vox on Shadowthrone though. Second of all, i don't like blastbeats with good production either, i prefer those buried beneath the production, and third the music itself developed into a style that my ears don't like.. so i'm afraid i'm not going to enjoy this classic all that much... gave it 75 from an objective point of view...

This is definitely a classic, though nothing beats The Shadowthrone in my book. Very good review as usual *horns up*

This is a good album. I love the main riff on the title track and how Mother North is structured. It's no Dark Medieval Times, but solid anyway.

Evidently The End Records (possibly taking a cue from some other companies) is re-releasing a whole bunch of shit. I saw this in the store tonight and recognized the dead eagle hawk owl thingy on the cover and thought to myself, "Hey isn't this like, a classic or some shit?" So I just picked it up for the hell of it, not having heard a single note. For over a year now I have been delving here and there into the world of Black Metal, largely thanks to this site and the stupid gay faggots that inhabbit the forum. Anyway, a few Emperor and Marduk albums later nothing has really come along that grabbed me by the balls. But this, after a just a spin so far, has perked up a little interest.

Oddly enough, these guys made it onto the "top ten most rediculous black metal pics of all time" over at Ruthless, and now I know why.
