Running Wild is my favorite band of all time. Something about them is just... So great. But I've never been able to tell if they are really well known. How many Running Wild fans are here?
Also, same with Primal Fear. Very good band, don't think they get enough respect.

I fucking love Running Wild! I was lucky to catch their final gig last year at Wacken, and the turn out there was a testament to just how well-known and well-liked they are, at least in Europe.

Their old stuff was, in my honest opinion, up there as among the best of their genre. My favourite albums are probably Death Or Glory, Gates To Purgatory and Branded and Exiled. I'd be hard pressed to think of any song I didn't like or would want to skip before Masquerade. If they had ended with Black Hand Inn it would have been a perfect discography.

Probably like most fans, I'm not that fond of the material past Black Hand Inn. I did enjoy a few songs on Rivalry like the title track, Firebreather (come on, you know you have to sing along to that one :P ), Return of the Dragon and War & Peace. I saw The Brotherhood like the next step in the lack of inspiration. The Ghost is an absolutely epic track, but other than that there isn't much there. Siberian Winter's pretty decent, and Pirate Song is just plain fun but that's about it really.

Ok, now I seriously need to go put on Death Or Glory :dio:

Exactly that, changing (matter of tastes) in all places Death or Glory by Under Jolly Roger (my all times fav from them).

I saw them life back in the Blazon Stone gig, and was incredible.

Just bought 'Black Hand Inn' and 'Pile of Skulls' today. My first two Running Wild albums.

You have idea how jealous I am! And I can understand why people say it went downhill after Black Hand Inn, but the Rivalry is one of my favorite albums of any band. And Masquerade, it's pretty damn good, but kind of a rehash of BHI. But of course... Black Hand Inn is the greatest album ever made. To me at least. Glad to see there's more fans!

Even their recent albums in the 2000's have been very solid & consistent. No surprises on them, but high quality start to finish.

I still listen to the first two or three albums every so often.
