Anybody else heard this yet? Just listened to it and it's pretty awesome. I hadn't really listened to these guys too much till earlier this week when I listened to Buried in Oblivion. Great band.

Awesome band. I have the torrent file, but haven't downloaded it. Not sure if I will.

Me either, I know I'll love it. This band is so damn awesome. I'll pay for this without hearing anything.

Amorphis is my fave of the year the rest is scatterd but I have a feeling the new Amon Amarath will be up there too.

The best album of the year is, without a doubt, the full length debut from Ikuinen Kaamos. Though I doubt too many people heard of these guys. Maybe I should make a thread...

This album kicks ass. I just listened to it for the first time. It is awesome. Def one of the best of the year. It might not be as good as BIO, but I fuckin love that album. It might catch up after a few more weeks of listening. I like the new singer, especially the Halford screams, but the only knock on the album is that it doesnt feel the same as the last two albums. They felt a little darker I guess. But still this just may be my album of the year.

The new Amon Amarth is pretty far up there as well right now. I only have that for abot a week though. Time will tell who I get sick of first.

After reading through this thread i decided to download The Scattering Of Ashes. I already have their 1st two albums, so i know how they sound. With their 1st two, there were both good and average tracks. But with both albums, i didnt like the entire album.

After downloading and listening, i can say two things

1- They seem faster
2- The drumming has improved immensely

I wont go as far as saying its one of the best of 2006, but i would have it in the top 11-20.
Also, one of the vocalist who sings clean, but high pitched. His vocals have also improved.

My 3 favourite tracks would be Timeless Winter, Nothing and Eternal
