Top 3 concerts

Nightwish- March 2005, Melbourne Australia

Totally blew me away, easily the best concert i've been to. 90+ minutes of pure gold

Metallica- 1992 & 1998, Melbourne Australia

Expect nothing more than the best from the 'Tallica boys

AC/DC- 2001 or 2002 Stiff Upper Lip tour

Like Metallica, AC/DC know how to put on an awesome show, this was no exception

I've been to several Metallica and Bon Jovi concerts, Aerosmith and Scorpions but nothing beats the In Flames/Killswitch Engage/As I Lay Dying show (May 04/Montreal)

ciao

It ain't metal, but Steve Vai put on a fantastic performance. I'd have to say that this was my favorite live show.

...That is, until the Gigantour rolls around.

Man, I had the chance to see him with Billy Sheehan a while back. I don't remember my reason for missing the show, but I wish I would have skipped whatever it was I was doing to see that show.

That's too bad; you totally missed out. Sorry to hear it. Well, if they come around again, you'll know to stop whatever you're doing and just go to see them live.

I am just hoping that when Primal Fear go on their world tour for their upcoming new album, that they include Australia like Nightwish did earlier this year.
Man, they would absolutely rock live in concert

Edguy - September 2004 (Montreal, Canada)

Iron Maiden - August 2003 (Quebec, Canada)

(never seen so many shows anyway...Ozzy Osbourne in 1996, Rush in 1997 and that's about it...)

1. Katatonia - Foufounes Electric in Montreal June 2004 ( first show ever in canada) Daylight Dies was opening for them and they were also great.

2. The Tea Party - Metropolis Montreal Nov 1999
my first show ever and is still memorable up to this day

3. Sonata Arctica - Le Capitole, Quebec April 2005
Also saw them in montreal but the show in Quebec city was
much better just because I hate the Medley where the event
took place

4. Nightwish - Medley Montreal Sept 2004

What's wrong with the "Medley" ? (Never been there before...) A guy told me I must go to see Sonata there instead of Quebec...
By the way, have you ever seen shows at the "Imperial", in Quebec city ???? Do you know how looks the place ??? I'll see a concert there this week, but I don't have idea how it looks like. How big it is, etc.

The Medley's configuration of the stage suck, they also tend to overbook the place which makes it impossible to breath because it gets so hot. On top of that since it's overcrowded it's hard to see well. If this place was to ever get on fire during a show it would be a disaster. During the Sonata Arctica show last april some girl passed out(fainted) due to the lack of air and hotness of the place.
I saw both Nightwish and Sonata there and I don't intend to go back to any show that is at the Medley. Nightwish's shows this year was at the Metropolis which is by far a much better place.

In the case of The Imperial, I haven't been to a show there yet, the three shows i've seen this year have all been at the capitole.
I'll know how it is when I get to see angra in September.

REVISION: I had forgotten a very important show #3 on my list!

1. Katatonia - Foufounes Electric in Montreal June 2004 ( first show ever in canada) Daylight Dies was opening for them and they were also great.

2. The Tea Party - Metropolis Montreal Nov 1999
my first show ever and is still memorable up to this day

3. Dark Tranquillity - Capitole, Quebec May 2005
Hypocrisy and Dark Tranquillity were simply awesome.
I hope DT comes back soon. I can't believe I had forgotten this
show!

4. Sonata Arctica - Le Capitole, Quebec April 2005
Also saw them in montreal but the show in Quebec city was
much better just because I hate the Medley where the event
took place

5. Nightwish - Medley Montreal Sept 2004

I haven't been to too many concerts, but the one's that stand out are:

Children of Bodom, Evergrey and Iced Earth - Wow it was fucking amazing, i never thought i get a chance to see those killer bands on tour in the U.S., but they fucking owned the joint, truly amazing.

Judas Priest and Queensryche - Just recently, amazing as well, 2 of my all time fav bands, and i got a chance to see Queensryche perform the old school songs, Tate still owns, the guy still has the pipes, and the same for Priest, truly an honor to see them live.
