Zad wins.

Ah, takes me back...to, erm, 2001...?

I don't own any of the Dickinson reissues but I've seen them in the store, and all I can say is that the bonus material looks really cool! There's a ton of shit included, not just a few song tracks. :dio:

I know, but there's no way i'm re-buying them all. They are proper re-issues though, no doubt. :dio:

I'm not a big enough fan to buy them at full price, but I'd snatch them up used!

I got this yesterday:

New Eden - Obscure Master Plan

Nope. I had Skunkworks and just traded it through lala.com. I'm not really a big fan of Maiden and Dickinson. Crazy, I know, but I could never fully get into either.

Nigga, youz is crazy!

Accident of Birth and The Chemical Wedding do sound nothing at all like Skunkworks, though. Very Metal and very modern-sounding - a lot like Rob Rock and the two albums Halford did with Roy Z, but much better.

I'm kind of the same way. I mean, I love Maiden and all, but I can only take so much. I'm not nearly as die hard as some of the people here. There are two albums I would say are awesome, the rest is mediocre. As for Dickinson's solo stuff... haven't heard much, but what I have heard has been ok.

Right. I've never actually thought anything was bad, just not amazing. I do think the two Halford albums kick ass, so that's quite a sell there, Rad. I'll have to give them a listen and see what I think.

Its my least favorite of anything after their 80's stuff. Everytime I saw it in stores there was always a better one. But its time has come, it may be my least fav, but its still a damn good album.

Nightfall In Middle-Earth has too many snippet tracks, too much distraction. Had they just stuck the actual songs on the album and used text to tell the tale in the booklet the album would flow a lot better. Anyway, I just got these today:

Clockwork - Surface Tension
The Tangent - III: A Place In The Queue

Prog, baby! Clockwork is awesome! One album and out. They released it on Sensory in '99 and disappeared. It's a great CD, typical of the Sensory style.

The Tangent is a lot like Yes. Not very hard-hitting, but very atmospheric and cool. And the album cover is one of the coolest I've ever seen:

A killer album! I got this album this past year, too, and I was shocked at how good it was. They got a new one coming out soon.

Finally I found a store in Helsinki that actually sells good stuff :). I usually buy my CD's on the net but sometimes it's expensive and it's more fun to look through albums in a store and then finally finding something great. I got these yesterday:

Cage - Darker Than Black
Kamelot - Fourth Legacy
Blind Guardian - A Twist In the Myth
Grave Digger - Knights of the Cross
