Post subject: | TOP TEN SONGS' INTRODUCTION TO METAL |
If you had to sum up metal in ten songs (one for each band) to make a compilation to someone who has never heard a single metal song in his life, what would your "perfect 10" be like ? I'll start with mine :
- Judas Priest "Beyond The Realms Of Death" - Metallica "Master Of Puppets" - Anthrax "Among The Living" - Queensrÿche "Promised Land" - Black Sabbath "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" - Deep Purple "Speed King" - Thin Lizzy "Roisin Dubh (Black Rose): A Rock Legend" - Slayer "South Of Heaven" - Blue Öyster Cult "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" |

Well, if a person has never listened to any metal song at all, I wouldnt recommend thrash or death metal. I would recommend some basic traditional heavy metal. Iron Maiden - The Trooper Judas Priest - Hellion / Electric Eye Accept - Balls To The Wall Dio - Rainbow In The Dark Thin Lizzy - Dedication Scorpions - Rock You Like a Hurricane Helloween - I Want Out Metallica - Enter Sandman Manowar - Number 1 Ozzy Osbourne - Shot in the Dark These are far from being the best songs in metal, but they are commercial and radio-friendly enough to get someone's attention. The best stuff would have to be discovered later. |

No offence, but I really can't stand Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Dio! I was under the impression that that was an era that metal fans were hoping to forget. Sorry!! ![]() |
