Hey guys, right now I'm really into metal with neoclassical elements like Dark Moor or old COB, anyone knows any other bands in this style that are worth checking out?

I could be way off but Haggard, Great Kat and Kalmah could interest you.

Old symphony x maybe? Kalmah is supported. Ensiferum? Wintersun?

Dimmu Borgir and Limbonic Art are less obvious but still good choices.

At Vance for sure. A legendary neoclassical power metal band. Their newer stuff isn't' that great, but check out some of their stuff when they had Oliver Hartmann on vocals. Amazing.

Yngiew Malmsteen... obvious.

Concerto Moon. Japanese neoclassical metal. Amazing musicianship.

If you haven't checked out older Dark Moor, you must.

These are all neoclassical power metal bands.

At Vance and the Great Kat are probably my favourites in this department. Though I think At Vance's version of Vivaldi's Four Seasons is better than the Great Kat's.

Kamelot definitely has the neoclassical feel especially on early material.

Yngwie first three albums.
Kalmah
First Loudness albums.

Ah, and it's not really metal, but Uli Roth neoclassical guitar albums are really good.

I would also suggest a band called Time Requiem. I think they offer up great material.

When I think of neo-classical metal, I think of neo-classical melodic/power metal bands in this group:
Euroforce
Steel Seal
Warmen (COB keyboardist - mostly instrumental)
Time Requeim
At Vance
Kapel Maister (female fronted)
Book of Reflections
Evil Masquerade
Kenziner
Iron Mask
Caravellus (female fronted)
Myrath
Space Odyssey
Seven Seraphim
Dimension
Felony (both male/female vocals)
Vindictiv
Magic Kingdom
Virtuocity
Majestic
Adagio
Opus Atlantica
Meduza
Reign of Terror
Reptilian
Ring of Fire
Stormwind
Symphony X

I've disregarded quality in the list and some of the bands are more neo-classical oriented than others, but all are listed on MCDR with ratings/comments and some with full reviews.

Also, there are some excellent neo-classical power metal bands from Japan (Concerto Moon, Galneryus, etc.) and I recently hooked up with someone in Japan that is tracking down many bands and CDs. I'll finally have all of the Concerto Moon CDs, and along with many other Japanese bands, they'll be arriving to MCDR gradually throughout the rest of the year. There are some killer new bands with just one or two CDs, so seriously stay tuned!!
:D

Check out the big brain on Clint!! :) I bow to your every increasing wealth of metal knowledge and wisdom. :P

I forgot to mention Warmen and Evil Masquerade. Great choices. Flyman's guitar work on that first Evil Masquerade CD is nothing less than awe inspiring. :dio:

Get Nosferatu by Helstar. Quite possibly one of the greatest Neo classical heavy metal albums of all time. Great song writing. Heavy thrashy riffs and mind fucking solos.
