Anyone looking forward to this? Kind of a lame name, but whatever. Personally, I think it's going to be killer!! Marcela Bovio's vocals on The Human Equation were excellent! I question whether or not it will sound like an Ayreon CD because the trailer here seems very Ayreon-like, but we'll see. His Ambeon project sounded a bit like Ayreon, but had enough of its own identity.

Could be interesting, she does have a nice voice and anything that Arjen's involved in is usually high quality material. I want to see Star One pt II or something like that, that project was freaking amazing, and the live concert was insane. :D

Not so sure about this,i mean i like everything lucassen has done, but Marcela Bovio is not my cup of tea, sure she was good on the Human Equation but Irene Jansen was way better, and her other band Elfonia is just pure crap, well i hope this album turned out as good as other lucassens realeses, but a Star One II would be better.

The Ambeon CD is great! It's like a metal version of Delerium! And to think that the singer, Astrid, was only 14 years old when she wrote those words and recorded that CD is pretty amazing!

I don't know, I probably listen to a broader range of styles than some of you here. Arjen is awesome! I even like Vengeance, his pre-solo work band.

That was kind of my opinion. I love Arjen's work. His work on Human Equation made me appreciate chick singers a little more, but for him to make an album with some unkown chick, makes me not interested at all. ...if that makes sense.

Why? That's kind of dumb, don't you think? Irene Jansen was unknown pretty much before she hooked up with Arjen!

My girlfriend will never watch a movie unless she knows the actors in it, if she doesn't recognize any actors she immediately deems the movie "sucky." It's pretty dumb.

What sort of impact does an unknown singer have on the quality of music on a CD?? It has none unless she's a shitty singer, which is clearly not the case at all! She's got a great voice! I just don't see the correlation between unknown singer and quality music. The former does not impact the latter.

I guess what I said didn't make sense. ...or I didn't make my point very clear. I was trying to further yes' point. For Arjen to focus this album strictly on some chick's voice makes me not want to check it out.

I always like to check out new singers or band members. I try not to be a close minded person, but the discription of this album makes me not intersted. I'll try and be a little more clear next time.

Why not listen to the music first without relying on a description?

When The Human Equation came out, i had already heard Marcela Bovio from her other band Elfonia, and man it is crap, thats why it surprise me how good she sang on The Human Equation,i guess Arjen taught her something,im not especting this album to be even at least as good as Ambeon, but who knows it may surprise me,i just hope this doesnt delay other Arjen projects.

I'm sure most of you here won't agree but i find Human Equation a little boring. The music never really got into me.
Ambeon on the other hand was my most played album back in a few years.I just couldn't stop listening to it.Everything on that album was perfect back then.I was still a beginner in metal music but i knew when something was good.
Same goes for Star One, truly amazing piece of art.I know Arjen is very talanted musician and songwriter, so i have no doubt about the quality of this new project.

There are too many other cds I'd rather spend my money on. I rely very much on descriptions and recommendations when I purchase cds.

I agree. I could never really get into HE either. I think the Universal Migrator CDs are much better.

PyroMan, an unrelated question. I met yesterday two very nice guys from England, they were passing through Romania on their way to Varna. They showed me a guide book for balcanic countries, and it said there that in Bulgaria, if you're convicted for drunk driving and you do it again, you are sentenced to death by firing squad. Is that really true???

Hahahah of course it isn't.Good joke by the way. :D
That guide was probably made by people who think balkanic countries are like Somalia or someplace similar with savages and uneducated people killing each other for no good reason.Or just some ignorant idiots thinking it's funny to mislead people who know nothing about the smaller and insignificant to the rest of the world countries.
I haven't been caught driving drunk yet, but i suppose they just revoke your driving licence and makes you pay a fine.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I was just so shocked to see that, I had to ask.

hmmm... my problem with feamle vocalists is that i really dont like them... i dont why.. i love when its combined, like in ayreon project and tobias sammets avantasia... But if its 100% female voice on a record, i cant get into it.. I got nightwish oceanborn.. And its just a dustcollector on my shevle.. Dhes a great singer... i know that.. but i have problem understanding what shes singing.. The same with edenbridge.. Dark moor is good.. Especially hall of the olden dreams.. But elisa sounds pretty much like a man there anyway.. Its really annoying, got a lot of records with female singers... but in the end it reaa´lly turns me off.... and no.. im not gay.. had seen coming

I never do. You'll never know if you like something until you try it yourself. I usually try and download some music first, or if I can find it cheap enough used I'll pick something up on a whim, but I'm all for trying it out first then buying it. I hate paying $15 for a CD that is supposed to be good only to hate it.

Yeah, I hate that too.

That is why I have decided to get a file sharing program. Normally I am against downloading music, but I'm sick of buying a cd, that got great reviews, and ending up hating it.
