Wooo. I think 'heavier' just means 'not quite so much acoustics.' I mean I love Temple of Shadows as much as the next sane human being, but to try repeating it again would be a mistake.

I just don't think they will disappoint, b/c they are yet to make a bad album IMO. I'm actually more excited about the release date; I wasn't expecting it so soon.

Yeah me too. But I doubt I'll but it right away, TOS is the only Angra album I've fully assimialted - I bought Rebirth in June last year and still haven't gotten it in my head yet. so much music, so very little time.

I hear you man. But, we all have those bands that come first. Like, I know with you Falconer or Firewind would be on the top of your "to get" list, the same is for me with Angra.

This is great. Temple of Shadows if incredible. I haven't really give the rest of their stuff much of a listen though. I should probably do that. Either way this album should kick ass.

I can't wait for this album.

I hope this will be as good as Temple of Shadows which was very good. The "much heavier" sounds very interesting !!

What a piss poor brazilian I am. Never got into Angra.

What album is their best would you say? Temple Of Shadows?

Just to help you recommend somthing to me, when it comes to power metal, I like Edguy, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Gamma Ray. So what Angra album gets closest to the bands I mentioned ?

Honestly, any of them. If you like all those bands you'll love Angra.

Woooooooo! :dio:

I only have Rebirth, but it's quite excellent. If this is gonna be a heavier Angra album, I'll most certainly have to buy it. I can't see this going wrong.

Wow, I've been wanting to get some Angra for a looooooong time, but I've been getting other stuff and kind of forgot about them. Hopefully this CD will be a good one to start on...

Yeah, it's alright. It's more of an AOR album, and probably wouldn't get recognized if Edu wasn't signing on it.

Start with a Matos era album. I'd say Angels Cray or Holy Land. Both are brilliant.

Edit - BTW, I retract my statement earlier when I said any album is good to start with. I say start with what made them great.

No. I would say don't go with Holy Land if you're big into power metal as that is more progressive than prog.

Rebirth, Angels Cry, or ToS would be a good one for a power metal fan to start.

Holy Land if you're into prog metal more than power.

Daaaamn. The line-up really impressed me on that. I was also keen to find out if Emppu was a good lead player.

These news sound weird, especially the thing about the mental sickness-theme. Weird for a band like Angra I mean. This could mean they wont write monotonous power metal (not that they would otherwise) because it probably wouldn't fit with the complex lyrical content. Could turn out to be very very good. I just hope Edu is less annoying than he was on Temple of Shadows and return to the much superior singing style he had on Rebirth.

In OCTOBER?? Holy shit I didn't expect a new Angra album until 2007. I have a new potential album of the year to wait for!
