I like them both equally, but I vote Obituary because about a year ago I didn't like death metal, yet I bought Slowly We Rot blindly. Got home, popped it into the stereo, turned it up to 10....YYYYEEEEEUUUUAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!! The vocals are absolutely wonderful. So Obituary, but Morbid Angel in a close second.
Anyone here should follow your example!Such introduction to a band is unforgettable.

God yes, it made me like death metal vocals-which I never used to like AT ALL. Next purchaswes for me are either Morbid Angel's Blessed Are The Sick or Obituary's Cause of Death. Neither of them get priority, it just depends whether I walk into Music Zone or Virgin first.
Both are classics, but Cause of Death came first,so,stay chronologic brother!

Also, although it's a classic,Cause of Death must be the most unusual Obituary album:it has maestro James Murphy on guitar, therefore it's the only Obituary with "real" guitar solos on it(it's up to you to see this as an inprovement or not).
