Motörhead - Motörizer

I will not download this, as I know it will be good. But I thought i'd let you know that you can.

Oh, I found a site where you can download demos from the new Metallica album, 10 songs in total. I didn't get it, but if anybody wants a link I can provide it...

They've had fake downloads for the Metallica album for months, I doubt it's real.

I've heard Cyanide and it sucks. 'Nuff said.

I liked it more than any thrash song I've heard. Metallica might just do something right with that new album of theirs.

That's retarded. I heard one song and ten percent of that album represents the sum. Do you even know why they released Cyanide as the first song and not the song they are doing a video for? Maybe it was just the simplest song to learn at the time. Ridiculous.

To consider Cyanide a thrash song is stupid. You don't like thrash, we get it now stop bitching about it.

Anyway, the new Destruction is awesome. Much more mature than any Destruction album. The thing that stands out the most are the awesome solos. But that is probably because Jeff Waters and Gary Holt are guests on the album, not to take anything away from Mike...

Plus this is the best drumming from a Destruction drummer i've heard in a long time. But the coolest part of this album, is when Schmier does his little wail/scream thing it sounds like 1985 all over again.

This may be album of the year for me, but Tankard may have something to say about that.

I didn't say I considered it a thrash song. It sounds nothing like thrash, which is why I liked it so.

Is the new Destruction a good place to start with them? I've listened to Inventor of Evil, Cracked Brain and All Hell Breaks Loose and nothing really grabbed me. Is there something I'm missing?

I'd say you didn't start with the right albums- though Cracked Brain and All Hell are definitely good. For classic destruction, try Eternal Devastation and Infernal Overkill (there's a very well priced set that has both of them together and also includes the awesome Mad Butcher and Sentence of Death EPs), and for modern, try The Antichrist.

Brahm pretty much hit the nail right on the head with that.

Do not start with D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N. if you were not a fan of Inventor of Evil. It's not like this sounds like it, it's just the older stuff is the way to go.

While i have to agree that Eternal Devastation and Infernal Overkill kick ass for me the best destruction album is Release From Agony, and yeah the antichrist is one of the best modern thrash albums ever.

Nothing Metallica has done has ever appealed to me. I think the band stinks and I've always thought so. Not everyone has to like them.

It's fine that you don't like them, nobody cares whether or not you do. It's just that that comment was fucking retarded.

Never said that you had to like them but you were putting out a blanket statement with minimal evidence.

As for Destruction, I liked a few tracks off Inventor of Evil like Under Surveillance but I'll check out their original releases I guess.
