They've got a new album out, does anyone care? Are their past albums worth listening to? That kind of thing. Put it here, below my post.

I find it to be quite an avarage band TBH, despite the fact it gets a lot of praise. I checked out the first two albums, didn't do much for me. Melodic death metal with a thrashy edge.

Never interested me enough to check out a full album.

Downloaded it a week ago or something... Nothing in particular for me.. Dunno. Melodeath bands should have something special by them.

Darkane are probably one of my favourite bands...

Anyway, Rusted Angel and Layers of Lies are worth getting. The second album didn't do too much for me, Expanding Senses is good but not as good as the the first two I mentioned.

I really can't understand people being unimpressed by them, they're one of the best melodeath bands about.

I like them quite a bit as well. Layers of lies and expanding senses are the ones I listen to the most. Rusted Angel is good as well but a little brutal for those not used to the extreme type or starting with the death metal genre.

Don't really listen to them because I heard some of the tracks off "Layers of Lies" and found them pretty bland, but have been listening to a few of the earlier tracks on youtube and liking them more. A lot thrashier...

I like it when death and thrash drummers use their cymbals for fills.

I've almost entirely stopped listening to melodeath, as almost all of it I find to be boring, generic and uninspired sameness, except for the big bands like Dark Tranquillity, In Flames and At the Gates... I don't care that In Flames started playing metalcorish stuff, at least it's varied and they can fucking play it anyway.
That said, I did have a Darkane album once, but I never got into it. Nothing really grabbed my attention. Might try this new one, though (if kerrazy would fucking reopen).

Darkane is a sexy band... well let me rephrase that. Rusted Angel is a sexy album done by the band Darkane. One of my favorite melodeath albums for that matter. Check it out Zaddypoo.

I would add another recommendation for Rusted Angel. I'm not familiar with them beyond that album, though.

I love melodeath and don't listen to them.

I think that should be enough of a hint as to whether to listen to them or not.

I must say, listened to half of the new album today and wasn't impressed. The last Haunted was better.

How's the new vocalist?

This band must be a Marmite thing <_<.
