A buddy of mine recently got a hold of this CD and I know I've heard them discussed at one point but I've never heard them before. The album wasn't really amazing or anything, but I thought it was an interesting blend of metal. I dunno what exactly it'd be classified as because a lot of the songs change it up at certain points, but it's pretty solid death metal of sorts. I noticed their two albums previous to this one received poor reviews, and I haven't heard them, but I thought this album was pretty good.

Is a sample. Anyone have a chance to listen to the album or have any thoughts on the song? I'm not like a huge fan, but it sounds pretty good to me.

I own their debut and their prior cd,as well as the concealers now.I like The Hinderers the most, good album with some filler.I enjoy the keys/techno in my music so it didn't bother me.I think its a shame they dropped it in favor of a more common sound though.I've seen them called tech death as well and as an huge fan of that particular branch of metal I'd say they are just straight up modern death. They have always thrown in some of that cultural style to their music, and the Concealers is no exception.I particularly like The Unbinding Truth,so great. But the rest of the cd get only 3/5 stars from me.Average enjoyable music that I dont rush to put on,nor do I regularly listen to it.

Nice to see somebody else like em.My friends around here dig em' too.

Yeah. I'd probably give the album like 75/100 or 3/5 myself. It's not like amazing, but I do like how they incorporate all different elements of metal even though it's mostly a more modern death metal style as you stated.

There's moments of black, thrash and death mixed in that keeps the album fairly fresh IMO even though there is a song or two that I wish would mix it up as the others did.

And yeah, for whatever reason they've been lumped in with tech death, and they're definitely not tech death.

I've heard their debut and seen them at ozzfest and opening for dragonforce. Never really enjoyed them and actually think they kinda suck. I'd label them like industrial death metal with random serj vocals.

Their new album is pretty different from their debut. Their previous albums aren't very good, in my opinion.
