Swallow the sun just recently released one massive 3 DISC album.
after a couple complete listens all I can say is wow!
There'S definately a something for everybody, although I doubt everybody will like every DISC the same.
The first disc is classic Swallow the Sun a mixture of doom/death metal. On the second things get a little more experimental
with a gothic/progressive acoustic set that reminds at times Katatonia and Anathema amongst others. And finally the most surprising one
is kept for last with a set of Funeral Doom songs.
IMO the two first discs are great especially the second one. The third is good but I was never a fan of Funeral Doom, it's slow tempo is a little frustrating at times.
Overall this is definitely one of my favorites of the year.
