90% of former members of Beseech came back together and formed a new band called The Mary Major. Odd name, but I'm very interested to find out what they sound like now.

The stuff on myspace is hopeful, upbeat pop-goth metal in the vein of Silentium. It's very close to Beseech, but thicker and poppier. I can't see why they need a new name. Their band image changed more than anything else.

Well the last 2 Beseech albums were pretty weak. This was because the guitarist (forget his name) who wrote most of the music left after the orgasmic 'Souls Highway'. So it makes sense that they really couldn't produce anything really "Beseechish" anymore, and renamed themselves according to their new direction.
