it's called Chaos And Creation In The Backyard, it's produced by Nigel Goldritch (Radiohead, Travis, Divine Comedy etc...) who was recommanded by legendary producer George Martin. it's the new Paul McCartney cd... you weren't expecting anything from this 63 years old billionaire ? you were dead wrong ! anyone who like the Beatles & Macca's first two solo albums (his best) should try this 13 songs/47 minutes miracle... talent (genius ?) never dies !!! I'm sure this will be on my all-styles top ten of 2005... so far I gave it 5 spins and it deserves a 90 to 95/100 (and I usually rate quite low...):D |

There isn't a "if I download it or buy it, otherwise probably not" option. Any MP3s for us heathens? My parents have some John Lennon vinyl, when we get round to getting a turntable I'll check it out with their other stuff (EG: Earth, Wind And Fire  ). But I always liked Lennon's stuff to McCartney's. |

But I always liked Lennon's stuff to McCartney's. DLOAD THE FULL THING ! (especially if you liked The Beatles) ![]() and I think Lennon is way overrated... he sure did good things in his solo career and being shot helped him becoming a legend but Macca is more consistant than Lennon has ever been... |

Lennon > Macca. And if by being consistent you mean 'sounding most like the Beatles' then yeah, agreed. Heard some samples from his site, sounds like the Beatles, suprise suprise. Hmmmmm. Always preferred the Rolling Stones, personally, but that's a matter of opinion. Enjoy it, anyway, glad to see you've found something you can score >80%! ![]() |

Donnie Vies (Enuff Znuff vocalist) solo album "just enuff" blows that McCartney Macca out of the water. The production is weak, buyt the songwriting itself is killer. It is more of what a Beattles album should sound like! If you like this sort of hard rock, this is the album you have been looking for! like i said the production is weak, because im not sure if it in-house or under-funded , but the songwriting and catchy facot is beyond belief. I rank it right up there with early beattles albums. Flawless lyrics, hooks, and melodies. Almost perfect IMO ![]() I will buy this McCartney too, but I alos have been more of a lennon fan for his vox You will notice Vie sounds like an 80s version of John Lennon so I hope this will not be a problme for you? Please check it out and give it a chance Everybody. He and his band (enuff Znuff) have been overlooked for too long |

first of all, Beatles spells with only one T ![]() then, if I want POP I rather listen to this new McCartney than to a hard rocking pop album... and if I really want some hard rockin' pop, I'll give a spin to King's X (Faith Hope Love or Gretchen Goes to Nebraska) ![]() |

Damn, I still haven't given this one a listen. I'm glad that a lot of the old songwriters are still with us, though.. Mike Oldfield just put out a new CD, too. |

There is no influence to hard rock in the Donnie Vie solo album. None at all. In fact it is pure singer/songwriter material. Not even a vibe of hard rock present. Your loss, however ![]() |
