new album is a very slick piece of hard rock. Very skilled album. Far exceeds th abilitites of modern bands such as three doors down, nickelback, etc.

Agreed. A definite good album! The cover art is horrible, though. Apparently the band hates it and was forced by the label to use that cover! I'm not sure how long the original artwork took, but they fucked it up with one click of a filter in Photoshop. It looks terrible.

I agree. Been listening to this for a few days and I am floored :)
I liked it immedialy and almost could sing-along instantly. I like the references to earlier albums and earlier youth as well. Seems like it kinda a concept album based on a certain area or time in their lives.
Yes, the album cover is horrendous. Some play on tales from the crypt that went very wrong :(

Yeah, it's apparently about the Sunset Strip when 80's rock was blowing up. Apparently that was a crazy fucking place back then, just insane. If you've ever watched those documentaries on VH1 or whatever, almost every band that was big, or not, back then has stories about that area. The shows, the drugs, the drinking, the parties, the girls, the overdoses, etc...
