Hm.. I was 16 when I saw Metallica on the ...And Justice For All tour.

Do all the guys in that picture listen to metal?

Hell, no! They just roll their eyes when I try to put on something harder.. although a few are into underground punk and occasionally some Sabbath. Metal buddies are really hard to find.

Yeah I've got three metalhead friends. One that got me into it and two that used to roll their eyes but eventually got into it (Manowar will eventually wear anyone down).

Plus two other guys who vaguely like some trad/power but aren't seriously into it.

I have friends like that (except they listen to rap and feed off of their parents), but I never hang out with them. They are what I would call losers. Actually we aren't really friends anymore. I heard they think I'm a nerd b/c I refuse to smoke pot and drink everyday of the week. I also read on a consistent basis (which I never did in high school) and drink obscure beers. I guess that makes me a nerd in their eyes as well. I'm such a sell out  .

Then I have my metal friends, who are usually pretty open minded to different kinds of metal. They also read a lot, play instruments, oh hey and guess what, they drink obscure beers. These are the guys I have known my entire life who I chose to spend little time with in high school (I had my head up my ass... waaaaaaaay up my ass).

Wow, what the hell was that about? Anyway, metal friends own my gay high school friends.

My friends are all over the map .. some read a lot, some drink obscure beers, all are fairly open minded, all have done drugs at some point in time, one has tried to play guitar, but they don't listen to metal (The Melvins don't count). I guess what we mostly have in common is that we get along and like to hang out in pubs and drink. And strangely enough, they are all people I knew in high school.

My closest friends don't listen to metal, a few are Who fanboys and a few are Beatles fanboys, hehe. I have a few metal friends, who I had to break into extreme metal. 8)

Aside from this board, I have may be one or two metalhead friends in real life. As for the rest, their musical tastes vary (but metal isn't one of them). The three girls in my photo definitely are not metal fans.

Haha I have NO metal friends. I live a sloitary life on a cold dark metal island. My brother just got done telling me, "Dude you need to listen to the Goo Goo Dolls sometime and just give them a chance."

THE FUCKING GOO GOO DOLLS. Man maybe I picked on him too much when we were younger, Jesus Christ, the Goo Goo Dolls.

I went to visit my best friend the other day, and he tells me "Dude I found the coolest music, you have got to hear it!" And I'm like ok man let's hear it.

It was Tom Petty. :?

I mean FUCK. I'm not asking for the world here. The complete absence of a metal population is sorley evident where I live. When you walk into a CD store you are LUCKY to find a copy of the latest Cradle of Filth or In Flames. If you can find even that.
