NFAE, I see where you're comin' from. They offered my friend £40 for his dog, he said no and some lad tried to run away with it. When it was on a lead. Dumb shit.

Jurgen, I'm not saying it excuses their behavior. I'm saying that there may be ulterior reasons for the behavior.

Jesus, what, you think every time a gypsy steals I want him to be sent a box of chocolates?

Are you some kind of retard?

This week has been pretty gloomy so far. My grandfather died on early Sunday Morning, I have to go to a funeral on Thursday. No viewing though(he was cremated). But its kind of sinking in now what happened, and it's just the usual feeling you get when somebody close to you passes away. He was a medic in WW2 and fought in the Normandy(sp?) Invasion on Omaha beach. He also fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was at Auschwitz during its liberation. He had a good sense of humor(talking to him about politics) and just overall very respectable.

That's bad, losing a grandfather is hard. All we can do is hope we live as well as they did.

Anybody here lusten to Gogol Bordello? Hilarious gypsy rock. I missed theyre concert on Friday cuz I was ill, but my friends really rubbed it in by saying it was the best and most surreal gig ever.

You spastic, I made a thread about them ages ago! Do a search...

I feel awesome! I just got the word that my school's SGA is going to pay for me to go to Metalfest, including a hotel room and food and whatnot. This has made my month.

Paying for because of your Radio Show I'm guessing? That's awesome. You should convince them to make Metal listening an extra-curricular activity. It's more productive than Volleyball.

in a while i'll be leaving to go to this dinner, it's some chick in my class' birthday and shit.

thing is i never talk to her, and i was invited so no one would be left out.

this made me think, you know, those people who you know but don't really know, and both you and that person know it but none of you admits it. and then sometimes that person comes on the same bus as you to college or home or whatever, and even if you didn't go to the bus together it's as if oyu have to stick together now that you've seen that person there, and you can't listen to music out of respect to that person, yet you don't have anything to say and you end up with some small talk about the weather and public transportation and shit.

you know?

not to rain on your parade it's hard to succeed in football, and even if you do, without an education there is little you can do that's not related to the sport.

you're still 18 and unless you're already ona top club, you can still have both education and sports.

also, i don't know if you have it in belgium, but here, students in a sport's national team get a "competitive sport" status, which allows students who have to go to practise and games and shit to have a little extra time to study and stuff.

Indeed; I did some creative work with the funding application ("NEMF is an excellent place to make contacts not only with the bands themselves, but also with representatives with labels such as Century Media, Roadrunner Records and Metal Blade Records (all major metal labels) as well as smaller independant labels such as Moribund, Supernal and Southern Lord [yes, I know this last part probably isn't true, but they didn't know that]. Thus, such a trip will help WMHC fulfill its mission statement to maintain the highest quality of broadcasting.") I wish there was a higher population of metalheads here. It's kind of distressing at times.

How devilishly clever of you.

Tell me about not having any Metalheads. Out here there is maybe 10 real metalheads, 7 being my friends. Everyone else is Hot Topic kids at best, and ignorant shit kicking rednecks who think "Git-R-Done" is Shakespeare. Sometimes I just want to shoot myself when I see these idiots, for it would be easier than trying to understand such trogolodytes.

Plus, it's George W Bush's hometown and everytime you enter there is a sign that says

"Welcome to Midland. Former hometown of President George and First Lady Laura Bush." Makes me want to throw up.

Not bad, not bad at all. Got some pesky assessment out of the way, which means I can work on even peskier assessment. Getting a transfer at work to a location closer to home (no more hour round trips, I can just walk there), finally got a decent night's sleep, the missus finally put out, and I had a hilarious conversation with some blokes at uni about the ins and outs of anal sex.

Now I really want to go make eggs on toast.

I really hope "eggs on toast" isn't an Australian way of saying "I'll have gay sex tonight."

 That does make sense when you think about it. Hmm, I'll never quite look at eggs on toast the same way again.
