well I'm 15 and don't really want to drink.. I find it a sign of strength if someone can resist to peer pressure and not drink... even though i DO have a shirt saying "Save Water: Drink Porter"

I hope you don't cave in then. Make sure it is your choice either way. I know I didn't drink at 15.

Drinking is overrated, especially when you're young. All it does is lead to trouble. Drinking socially, having a good time with friends, that's when it's best.

Being just as drunk (whether a little or a lot) as the people around you is important.

Being more drunk than the rest is certainly terrible which is an experience I had only once and hoping to never experience again.

Yeah, a great story, in the middle of a party I said "I'm going to bed" and I fell asleep. In the middle of everybody. Never again!

Yeah, being the drunkest person in any situation is not a good idea.

i don't like the taste of alcohol that much (save for certain drinks) but sometimes i need it to loosen up and shit.

i've only gotten seriously drunk once, and after that i vowed never to push it that far again. it's one thing to get a bit tipsy (i'm in college, i have to), but that's it.

on a related topic, here's a pic from this past friday night, somewhere in spain (barcelona i think):
Image

it was the "botellon" (big bottle?). because it's too expensive to drink at clubs and shit, the youngsters decided to buy cheap booze at supermarkets and drink it in the streets. the "event" was planned and the word was spread around the country via SMS. in barecelona there was come fighting, and in salamanca some fires.

That's really basic stuff. Vomiting on someone's living room floor ist krieg.

Sadly, I actually picked up a hot chick by being the drunkest guy at the party one time, because she thought I was hilarious. But do you want to know the truely sad part? When we decided to go on a date, she wasn't in to me anymore, because I wasn't the same guy I was at the party!? Once I sobered up, she thought I wasn't interesting anymore :(

It depends how drunk you are.

Being the guy on six beers when everyone else is just starting (or the equivalent, like 8-2 etc ) is a tricky one to play, but if you're careful you can get away with it.

Any more of a difference than that and you're fucked. :P
