Zad, it's not about you liking something or not, this is about you talking negatively about a band that you didn't listen to. Your own words are contradicting each other here. These bands are out there trying to make something happen for themselves, we review them and try and give them a very subjective review for those people that would be interested in something like this. People listen, too.

But when someone comes along and implies that they're not very good, people also listen. Unfortunately only one person between you and I listened to the music before they gave an opinion. Do you think that's fair?

I did listen to the sample that worked. And didn't like it. And said so. If the bands were really out for the best market, they'd realise that nu-metal's time has gone.

Either way, this thread has more responses than any other of the new ones, so I guess you suceeded, huh?

What if I said that both links didn't work?

Also, bands "out for the best market" are called sellouts. But in this case that would have been better? A band following their hearts and writing music that isn't popular is now somehow a bad thing?

You'd be lying, unless you went to the lengths of altering them yourself. That would be terrifyingly evil of you.

I prefer crappy metalcore to nu-metal...

Are you sure I'd be lying? You still have the video to fall back on.

The video I ignored, since it had the same title as the first track. I'm not a huge fan of videos...

I vote just wipe the thread clean and start again.

I can't imagine it going any different. Maybe we should just focus on the other reviews?

I listened to a song, and while it's nothing spectacular, it's not bad.

However, one thing really bothered me when listening to the song: the vocalist sounded far too much like the singer from Creed... And that's just... Ew.

Creed? No way. If I had to compare I'd say he sounds like Lajon from Sevendust. Definitely not Scott Stapp. And you're right, this is nothing spectacular, it's just good. Plain and simple.

almost all threads get off topic, but in this case, this is good, because the topic is...meh.

Yeah, but Sevendust rocks and these guys are boring in comparison.

On every Sevendust album half of the CD kicks ass and the other half is weak. This CD is consistently good. I think some of the songs rival some of Sevendust's best songs, but the rest of the CD is just good.

I can't even believe that you like Sevendust, let me just say that! Hahaha.

I'd say that's only true for Seasons and Next. I think the first three Sevendust albums have good songs scattered liberally through, though the s/t will remain my fave-forever.

Why not? They're basically radio-rock that doesn't suck. There's nothing to NOT like, Ken.

Dude, I like Sevendust. I just wouldn't expect you to like them since they're so popular. I saw them live once and they put on a killer show, but goddamn those fans! I wanted live grenades to fall from the ceiling into the crowd.

I thought Seasons was their most consistently good album. Still had some flops, but less than normal.
