I feel angry. My girlfriend has resently become interested in 'the alternative' (you know; crystals, herbs and shit like that  ). I find that rather irritating in itself, but this morning she crossed the line. Instead of my usual cup of black coffee she served me a cup of herbal tea of some kind that had the colour of piss and tasted like seaweed. I started complaining of course and she kept going on about how healthy this stuff was.. I hope she doesn't turn vegetarian too (like those 'alternative' types sometimes does). In that case I would have to let her go..

That's the biggest load of bullshit i've ever heard! Girls just start bleeding from their vaginas at an early age.

Agreed 100% My 19 year old girlfriend suddenly left the "Emotionally Mature" bus a few weeks ago. I've been going through hell ever since. Apparently everything wrong in her life is my fault, even things that happened before I met her. :x

Hmm... This wouldn't have anything to do with the blood coming out of her vagina? :D

So when do guys start bleeding from their vaginas? (Ha...ha. It is true that girls mature more quickly on average, though.)

Meanwhile, I AM DONE! I've completed and turned in all my work, I've put most of my crap into storage and loaded up my car with the rest, and tomorrow I'm heading out. Summer rules.

No pictures of this one, but it sucks anyway. (That was pretty much what my final critique yesterday amounted to; "Well, Kayla, as you know, I'm an aging hippie, so I'll stand by my promise to give everyone an A on the final project, but this sucks." "Yeah, I know.")

What was it?

A flat sheet of steel with a long, uneven hole cut out of the center with a torch, pieces of the cut-out bit re-welded as flaps around it, and two half-circles of steel bars at opposite corners of the sheet. It was supposed to be inspired by a line from "Cross My Heart" by Carcass - "Put me on a pedestal, I'll put you on a slab."

Okaaaay...sounds like a tray. With a hole in it.

I'm sure it's beautiful, but was that the best you could have done?

Hell, no. But I had a single day to do it. I would have had a completely different (and far better) one, but the damn rust on the chain completely fucked its conductivity, so I couldn't weld it.

Mmm. Wouldn't superglue or even using unrusty chains to tie it together have worked?

I'd like to see a pic anyways. And didn't you do some more drawings for that project with DM?

I feel like I have a reasonably average level of self esteem, according to the survey at the MSN homepage. I'm precisely 48 confident.

Quote:
You have scored 48.

What your scoring means

Many people think you are confident and in charge of your life. You're not so sure! It may be that you had a difficult upbringing with parents who were too demanding of you. Or perhaps you have Always felt that you're not as bright as other people think you are. Or maybe you feel unlovable.

If you're in a relationship, it's likely that you'll Often feel anxious about it. Sometimes you may worry that you'll 'muck things up'. You may also have serious concerns that your partner will 'find you out' and decide you're not worth loving.

Have a look at the article called 'Self- esteem', which is on this website in the Sex and Relationships section. There are plenty of tips in there to help you. And if you do a bit of work on improving your self-esteem, you'll find that you have fewer worries and that life runs more smoothly.

Aaaah. I don't think you're unlovable, fair minstrel.

*goes to take test himself*

*can't find it*

Well, I don't own a camera, and there's now 400 miles between me and it anyway. As for materials, I would have had to track down ungalvanized chains and buy them, which was far more time and energy expenditure than I had available. Superglue wouldn't have worked for what I wanted to do.

I did draw a sample comic for DM; it was that Opeth script he posted. (Given how big an Opeth fan I am, I felt kind of dirty.) If he doesn't mind, I can put it up here.
