This isn't even a dissapointment for me. Yea it has catchy moments and shit, whatever. I'm listening to Dark Medieval Times right now.

I completely disagree...IMO volcano was hell of an album.It was fresh it was demonic and it was totally BLACK METAL!!!for me black metal isn't just blast beats howls and stuff like that.It is a feeling and satyricon had that in volcano...I agree in the grade of now diabolical just because it's not as good as volcano...Its flat the same riffing again and again.They should never signed with roadrunner.Anyhow i hope next album will be better. Do we need another repined bastard nation another forcedfed discussed!!

No it isn't totally black metal. It is shit music with a blackened attitude remaining from their older glorious days.

I'm not sure if I'll bother listening to this or not. Dark Medeival Times is one of my favorite black metal albums. It's too bad they can't put out more stuff like that.

Hrm. What I've heard from the CD, I think is pretty good actually. Plus they put on one hell of a show when I saw them.

It is ok but is just black/punk rock.

I liked Volcano, a lot but had not staying power.

RE is pretty cool, never bothered with their other shit.

Nice, reasoned review of Satyricon's descent into the mediocre.

Will anyone interested in Satyricon simply listen to Dark Medieval Times? Yeah, they had some other good albums, but that was their obvious peak.
