I almost got that the other night but put it back, I will have to check it out, Requiem is a good movie.

I think i've seen that, one of those films that happend to be on tv when nothing else was. but i could easily be thinking of something else. was pretty shit, but i don't really like action films.

You might have seen the original by John Carpenter.

Finally found Ichi The Killer at a Suncoast....Im going to say, I was disappointed..I expected a much bloodier movie. Now it was bloody as fuck, but I've seen worse. I will say though, the torture scenes are very cringe worthy.

Gods, Ichi The Killer sucked ass. Oooh, parental issues!

Was it the Unrated, Uncut version? That one is the one to watch. The cut version leaves a lot to be desired.

Ah, well then. Takashi Miike is an excellent director, but you eithier love his work or hate it with a vengeance.

It was definately an interesting movie, I was just expecting too much gore I guess. Anyone got any other suggestions for Jap. Horror/Gore movies? I've already seen the following: Battle Royale 1&2, Versus, Riki-Oh, and obviously Ichi.

Edit: I also saw Ringu and hated it...and last night The Eye was on tv, it was better than Ringu, but still kept me kind of bored.

i'll say it again, BR kicks ass! but BR2, i heard nasty things about it, true or BS??

anyways, watched "the fast and the furious: tokyo drift".

- shit (and i mean SHIT) soundtrack, and to add to that it was too loud and almost always present
- is the Twink character played by little bow wow? please, PLEASE, tell me it isn't him!
- ^^^ = stereotypical black guy. plus, he refers to the Mona Lisa as "the painting with the girl that smiles all the time". that's just plain fucking stupid.
- they solve their dispute... with a race. right.

if you ignore that, though, it's a decent movie with nice driving stunts and all.

That is just Mikki, people seem to love him or hate him. I like his more sedate shit like Audition or Box from 3 extremes. Ichi is great and so is Visitor Q. I thought Gozu was stupid though and his Gangster shit is hit or miss a lot for me.

Want to watch some sick, bloody fucked up Japanese shit check out the All Night Long Trilogy especially parts 2 and 3. Fucked up.

I saw Wolf Creek. I liked it.

Wolf Creek sucked. more than half of the movie is useless.

Although there is alot of trash talk about BR 2, I liked it. Wasn't as good as the first, but still a decent movie.

I saw Click tonight. To those who saw the commercial for it, I will say this: Pay no attention to it.
When I saw the commercial and advertisements for it I thought it would be just another summer comedy that would be easily forgotten. This is untrue, it is hardly a comedy. Rather a comedic drama.
It was much better than I expected it to be, possibly because it raised important questions about the methods that many use to live their lives, ignoring some of the most important things: love, family, honest happiness, etc. The dramatic was well done and convincing, and at one point I think one of my eyes started to well up.
Recommended to those feeling a bit skeptic.

Get Hellavator, Rubbers Lovers. Tetsuo, All Night Long Trilogy, Marbrito, A snake in June, Cure, Suicide Clube and Uzamaki for starters. All are good, deep and surreal and different. All Night long is sick ass explotation though so be warned. It's tags line "All Human beings are garbage" is certainly lived up too.

If you are more into slaughter and gore check out Entrails and Guts of a Virgin. Evil Dead Trap 1 and 2 and the fake snuff films from the Guinea Pig series Devils Experiment and Flowers of Flesh and Blood.

If you like Samuria shit look not further then Lady Snowblood one and two and Zaotoichi. Either the 88 one or the newest one with Beat Takeshi in it they rule.

For something totally different check out Prisioner 702 which starts the chick from Lady Snowblood in a Jap Girl Prison movie, good stuff and also 2LDK for some really black, fucked up humor and violance.

Low budget: Def get Audition, Cure, Suicide Club, 2LdK and Hellavator, that is the best of the best.

BR2 was crap, but they re-released it with uncut scenes and new ending and I heard (can't confrim) that it really makesi t a much better movie.

I dug it, you have to have some character build up to make you give a shit, you know unless you just want to see people killed. Then you should just buy fake snuff films.

I just watched "The Hills Have Eyes" and its much better.


Also, I just watched "Date Movie", and it sucks pimply balls. However, one line from the movie was really funny. Anybody who's seen it knows.

"Just thinkin about the honeymoon makes my sack all quivery and shit."

That movie was completely unfunny. I wish the Wayans brothers would take their unfunny toilet humour and go to a deserted island, where no one can hear their lame attempts at jokes. It was worse than Band Camp, if such a thing is possible.
